Hmmm I have the AH. It was all I could find. Now what? I don't have a vaporizer. Can I use a fine mist to spray the birds? Can I not use the AH? I thought AH stood for animal health. I read not to use it activated but not sure how it is activated! OK you add citric acid to "activate" it which is the bad stuff I think. I did not get the citric acid.

Right, DO NOT USED the citric acid. Yes fine mist to spray them . Hope they get better soon.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! for you 1st eggs.

Notice to the local folks!
I powered back up my cabinet incubator today.
55 quail eggs to set today..
if you want to run some eggs.
I have room for about 200 eggs.
so bring one or fill the incubator. makes no difference to me.
and room for about 88 more after the 8th.

So, I've got a problem that just started about a month ago and I'm looking for some help. I have 8 hens that are laying and 25 hens that are about 2 months from laying. The 8 older hens use the nesting boxes just fine, but some of the other hens like to get in the boxes during the day and kick the shavings/straw out of the boxes. This is results in broken eggs and a mess of straw. I've seen people suggest blocking the boxes for, but I need them for the other hens that are laying. Any ideas?

Sure a couple of them
1 put something like a paint paddle acros the front of the nesting box so the eggs can not roll out.
2 dump a pile of grass clippings or a pile of hay in the coop so they have a place to scratch and dig in ..

Had a blast today at Chickenstock. I sold the only bird I took and did not bring anything home except Tricia's
Honeysuckle jelly.

OH Mary it was so nice to finally meet you!...Oh a sad note HAHAH....all the honey I got from you today will be my fathers bday gift. Mom said he was excited about it. I didn't have the heart to say it was mine LOL so I guess I'll taste it at their house and will later on have to get my own.
