Hello,

I have eight 4-5 week old roosters (most likely, but too soon to be 100% sure) that I need to re-home for free. Four are black Australorps, that are about 5 weeks old and mostly completely feathered. Four are light Brahmas, about 4 weeks old, still working on adult feathers.

The chicks are currently outside in a sectioned off part of the main run with a small enclosed brooder attached, that they sleep in. Just a few days ago, I took the heat plate out and they are all doing fine as there are 11 total and they sleep together at night and it’s not getting below 70 degrees. They may need supplemental heat if you take them before they are fully feathered depending on your set-up

I am located about an hour away from Columbus, OH to the South East.

I’ve attached pictures of most of the chicks, it’s hard to get them all in one picture or individual picture of each, as they don’t really like to sit still. I’ll take and post more pictures if anyone in interested.

Thank you!

I am about an hour west of Columbus and take boys that need a place to go if you don't find someone near you. I will say that I see what I'd suspect are females there. I see some black australorp boys (if they are different chicks in the different photos) and some questionables. Someone else will maybe be able to better help you identify them. But... I'd wait to be sure before giving them away. By 6 weeks old for those breeds you can usually say with some certainty.

Thanks for your reply! I was able to find someone locally to take them all.

In regards to the potential females in there group, I realized after I posted those pictures that some of the girls I was definitely sure about and keeping were in those pictures. I had 11 total chicks and 3 I’m certain are pullets, the 8 others were most likely Roos and maybe one of two hens mixed in. Regardless, I’m very happy someone locally took them and they’re all going to have a great home. Thanks!
