We are new chicken owners as of June 10th! My grandparents raised chickens and several people we know raise them.
Right now we have 2 Rhode island reds but aren't sure of the age. One is Charlie and one is Ella.
I came across BYC several months ago when we first wanted to learn about and raise them, luckily pinterest reminded me about BYC a week after we brought our girls home.

We are a family of 13, 2 kids, 3 dogs, 4 cats, and two chickens! My husband is a superintendent for a small electrical company but is also a shade tree mechanic. I am a phlebotomist but work as child watch in a gym daycare facility. Our oldest just turned 4 and our youngest turns 2 in October. My husband is from New Jersey and I a Florida native, we currently reside backed up to the Everglades in a town called Pembroke Pines.
