I got 4 Orpington chicks today as well as 4 Easter Eggers, should these breeds do well together?

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. I currently have Buff Orpingtons and Easter Eggers in my flock (and have had them both for many years), as well as Black Sex Links and Black Australorps, and they all do well together. Just be sure that they are not overcrowded as overcrowding can quickly lead to aggression, fights, biting and feather plucking, and even cannibalism with any breeds. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Thanks :) I am going to be working on their coop/run tomorrow. Very exciting.

Welcome from Middle Georgia! So glad you have joined us.

Congratulations on getting your own flock.

Do give them extra space in the coop and run. The BO's are quite large gals when they get grown.

South GA summers are hotter than here , make sure you have shade and lots of ventilation.

Feel free to ask questions, we're here to help.
