Southern CA Swap meet-up / Funday 9/24/11

I think I am going to bring a buff brahama bantam pair and a Belgian Quail (D'Anver) to sell/trade, along with the hens that I cannot identify from my 25 pullet pack from MPC.

Of course I am still bringing the 2 quail to trade for BirdManiac's OE/Silkie mix that looks just like one of my own...and perhaps maybe getting some of his quail?

Okay 1 more time! Who's brings Seramas to sell? I'll bring a frizzle Cochin to raffle off. Need some OEGB pullets for the Handsome boys SunnyCalifornia donated to my little 4H kids. The kids are sending me to the meet-up with homemade lollipops they made,( they are soo cute), they just informed me that proceeds will be going to leg bands and for more chickens to breed.

Oh Boy I'm soo excited to see y'all and all the critters! Jeepers! I sure don't take much for me,does it?!

Melinda, you should have kept your incubator!!! My OEGBs are not laying well right now, but after I collect all I can for Eddie, I'd be happy to send you some eggs. I gave back the incubator I was borrowing. My birthday isn't until the end of Oct. so no hatching for me for a while.

However... my Anniversary gift ROCKS!!!

oh i forgot to mention this but on saturday i was free ranging my seramas and the oegb mix hen and cleaning my back house which is like a shack and while i was cleaning inside the back house i hear a bird scream and it was a feral cat killing 2 of my birds as soon as i get outside my dog goes after the cat gets a hold of the cat by its neck and just starts shaking it and eventually killed it with help from 1 of my other dogs and i had to go to the animal shelter by my house to drop the dead cat their and then to see what the damage was it killed 1 of my young seramas and the poor oegb mix luckily my other birds hid under 1 of the car their and my dogs protected them. i have never in my life seen this before my dogs are a german shephard and 2 chihuahuas boy did they do a number on that cat. but Czech's_chicks i still have a silkie/ee mix she is very tame not aggressive at all she is with my seramas right now laying green eggs and she is small heres a pic of her
