Is it okay that the broody hen is a Muscovie? I never really had ducks this is my first time.

I was so tempted to get your boys but then I would be overloded with runners!

As long as she is a good broody everything should be fine. I've used chickens to hatch duck eggs before. Everything worked out just fine. Good luck!

i just saw the pics of of the parents of the pullet i bought from sunvalley they are just beautiful i can't wait to see how she grows i love captain jacks color oh thanks sunnycalifornia i love the color of the oegb chicks dad he was beautiful can't until he grows up i'll send u pics when he grows up more i'll bring him to the next meetup what bread is the other chick is it a cochin as i like her she is so sweat she is the first to greet me when i go feed them in the morning to see what i have for them.

The little black and white chick is a banty cochin mix. I only had one egg hatch from that batch, so Jake gave me a "buddy" out of his brooder to take home so my little OEGB chick wouldn't be lonely. The two chicks have been BFF's since day one, and I didn't want to see them separated. I think it might be a girl. She is very sweet, and always would jump out of the brooder to see me. And yes, I can't wait to see pics! I'll send you some baby pics of my roos, so you can see the transformation.

Birdmainiac the chicks a Bantam White cochin crossed with I bealeive my Bany frizzled cochin they were buddies right out of the egg.
