Dennis you can always move over here to Hacienda Heights, there is NO LIMIT on the amount of hens AND roos you can keep... I am serious.....it is chicken heaven.

This is the reply I got when I inquired about the rules of chicken keeping......

P.S. Now everyones gonna want to move here.......

Dear Susan:

The following are the rules we have regarding keeping chickens:

1. There is no set number of chickens that a person is permitted or prohibited from
keeping.
2. All chickens maintained on a piece of property must be for the personal use of the
occupants of that property.
3. There should be no commercial activity with respect to the chickens.
4. The raising and breeding of fighting cocks is regulated by Sheriff's Vice.
5. Other problems related to chickens can be regulated either by the Health Department,
the Department of Animal Control, or through a public nuisance.

In essence, chickens are permitted to be maintained solely for the personal
use of the occupants.

There is no authority to enforce other than what is advised
above.

OMG... i want to live over there... but they don't have 4 walmarts or 10 mcdonalds at a 5 mile radius there...

Well, we have 2 Walmarts, and a whole bunch'a Micky D's, hows that sound? Theres a room for rent next door to me....

you really wouldn't want me as a neighbor... i borrow stuff and don't return it... for years... when you ask for it back, i say it's mine and i even remember the day i bought it...
