Hi Trisha - it also has to do with how often the words appear on your site, whether or not the site has been added to the search engine, and how often your site's link has been found and clicked on - among other things. I think I suggested about finding the "add your site - or add url" button/option on each search engine and submitting your site. Then keep using those site's and putting in your key word and click on your site when you find it. Of course, you can also pay for their pay-per-click marketing feature to ensure you will be one of the top three - you bid on the keywords - starting at one cent. Bids depend on what competitors are bidding. It's really the best way to get to the top immediately. You can set your budget at just a dollar a day if you want and you only pay if someone clicks on your site. When you reach your budget the site drops from the top three to its regular (non-paying) place.

I would suggest going with Google for paid advertising. I get more hits off of Google than off of Yahoo paid advertising.

Do a search on Google and Yahoo for "lexus keys". My site is www.toy-lex.com

You can set your advertising spending limits, your bid limits, etc. You can spend as little or as much as you want for advertising.

Try it for a month and see how it works for you.

If you don't mind my asking, how much do you spend a day? I did the yahoo pay search for about a month and spent more then I had coming in and they charge extra if you have a daily spending limit!!! And to top it all off when I did a search I could never find my site even though I was paying out the ___ (you know).
