I have 4 unique breed chickens. I'd like to purchase one egg producing silkie! Any ideas on where I could get one?

Try posting in the Maine thread and check out the "Buy, sell, trade" forum. You do know that "egg producing" in silkies follows this pattern - lay a clutch, set, rear chicks and repeat as many times in a season as is possible - right?

He means silkies are notoriously broody. They don't lay many eggs a year cause they go broody all the time.
