Southern WI Cheesehead Mini Bash

Ahh, what to bring?

The Italian beef is good depending on how good the beef they get in is. I haven't been happy with it lately, It's been tough.

I could do Sloppy Joes or German Potato Salad. Any other ideas?

Hey, we're getting close now! What about dogs BigFam? Can we bring along 6 or so? LOL--probably just 2 but ya never know....I will bring Tommy too so the kids can cuddle him. Did you inform your DH yet? I know what you mean about that for sure!
I am working on MXM to see if she will come along or follow us there.
See you soon! TErri O

If the weather isn't nice enough to bring the bike, maybe we'll bring Jack along. He isn't much of a cuddler, but get a few drinks in him and he might be, hey Terri?

I can bring a GF choc cake if you like.

Cheese and crackers too!

I hope I will be celebrating when we attend, but I have a feeling we will be losing this battle, the WAR has just begun!

Terri I think 2 dogs would be fine. 6 ..... Uummmmm... If the rest stay in your car..... :D

Bring your roosters if you like. I'm sure Robin will be more than happy to sit with them when the kids get bored. (my kids don't sit still for long...)

Chocolate cake is good! I guess I should really see what we have going on food wise and look for gaps!

Oh and to Heather/MLH, loong ago you asked if you wanted hubby to bring any door prizes. If your sweet man finds anything he might like to bring as a door prize SUPER. I'd be happy to draw names! If it doesn't work out, that's ok too. We all have white elephant to look forward too! And with all the canning going on, I bet we could have some really good stuff...

I can't remember what else I wanted to address. My 3 yr old is screaming and kicking me right now and I can't think...

I just got a crazy idea! Inspired by something CC said, would anyone be interested in swapping fertile hatching eggs at the Bash? They would most likely be hybrid crosses, but it would be a fun way to bring in a little new stock. Also fun to see what hatches out and to have that special chicken from a Cheesehead friend. If they don't hatch, no harm no FOWL :)D) since they were a FREE.

What do you think? Chicken math and Cheeseheads UNITE! :D

If there's interest, I have laying currently Wheaten Marans, a Dominique, a Delaware, and a Barnyard special. Roos I have doing the deed are Wheaten Marans and a Lavender Orpington. A decent shot of pure bred marans since I have 3 of those Roos, but the off chance of a Orpington cross. Just a little chicken enabler FYI.......... ;)

I probably wont have any fertile eggs at the bash. My silkie roo is going to Carols for a while and I am trying my new d'uccle roo, but being he is only 3 months old, dont know that is able to provide fertile eggs for me.

If anyone is interested in swaping bigger birds or pullets, I may have some to swap and looking for a young large fowl that actually lays eggs adn does not go broody every other month.....

I'm just trying to be a chicken enabler for those interested. While I'd love to hatch out chicks again, I don't want to brood them. I am making myself wait until spring myself. But I have no problem helping other people add to their flocks...
