is there any that lives in Southington ct. that raises chickens and is it ok with the town ordinence
 
In Southinton, you can have up to 12 hens, no roosters. Check section 3 page 4 of the town zoning regulations (available online) for the specific space requirements.
 
I'll look again but couldn't find it.....thanks
 
Found it....thanks.....I'm only doing two hens for eggs.

this is the only thing that is in the reg's for Southington.



B. The keeping of a family flock of chickens (limit 12), subject to the following conditions:
1. The use shall be confined to an enclosure having a total area of not more than 400 square feet.
2. Any structure used for this purpose is to be located not less than 30 feet from any lot line, and 100 feet from any street line.
3. No roosters.1
