Southwest Virginia Spring Swap.... April 3rd 10:30...Info inside

Hey all! I am going to do my absolute best to be there tomorrow. My son (22months) became very ill Tuesday night and spent Wed,Thurs in the hospital. I was supposed to go to Lexington today but that didnt' happen, we are still coming tomorrow, I am going to bring some pens (empty ones) as long as Josey keeps improving (he has/had [pneumonia)

I've kinda lost track on the thread but who has D'Uccles they're selling? Trying to get an idea how much money to bring (or not to bring) LOL! I'd be interested in the D'Anvers mentioned also. Aslo a Mottle Cochin Roo is NEEDED around here, along with an EE roo, would possibly be interested in a Silkie roo also.

I can bring my list I mention earlier if anyone is interested but if not I'm not going to fool with catching them.

Hope to see everyone tomorrow!

Hey Untouchable!

I hope the little stays on the mend. Poor thing! Such pretty weather to be sick.

I have the D'anvers if you are interested in seeing them. I also have a PQ grey Silkie Cockerel. He is a cutie! Just started to crow this week.

I think Pampered has some Duccles that she is bringing. I have seen them... gorgeous!

Hope to see you there!

Do you have a trio of these available or possibly a pair? I might be very interested.

I sure do I have a roo and 2 hens that are self blue (lav) and I also have 2 black hens that are from lavender hens and split black/lav roo.
asking $30 for the trio on those of all lavender or if someone wants all of them lav roo, 2 lav hens and 2 split black hens $40 for all

Untouchable- I had a mottled roo but sold him last sat

I've got more mottled hens if anyone is interested not bringing them unless someone asks for them.
I have a blue D'uccle roo and a black D'uccle roo I think the blue may already be spoken for though..
I've also got a pair of black silkies and a younger sizzle roo that has the silke feathering ( really weird coloring) lol

Okay... finally done getting everyone ready to go to the sale tomorrow!! I have lots of chickens to bring, mostly silkies... I have silkies in splash, white, blue and black... a couple that are calico. I have cochins in black, which are Kim's if she wants them, she has first pick on those... and a few more that are different colors.. but I think all are pullets and are laying already. I am bringing some of my frizzled sizzles!!! Also have two of my nicest smooth feathered sizzles.. I have a blue frizzled cochin roo.
A black silkie roo, a spash roo that is from Hattrick that I think I am going to take... May change my mind by morning...
Too many birds to list.. I have several pens going tomorrow... need money for the NPIP tester!!!

I'll take the lavender roo and 2 hens.

My appearance tomorrow will all depend on what happens at the vet tomorrow. I've gotten a 1-2 punch over the last day. I got bad news from my doctor (white blood count is skyrocketed and don't know the reason for it. Dr. is very concerned), and my 11 year old dog who has 2 forms of cancer has taken a turn for the worse and we may have to have him euthanized tomorrow.

This is the best dog I've ever had and none of us is taking it well. Dillon was a mess all night long clinging to Rocky's neck telling him how much he loves him.

Kim, I will still bring the ducks to your house instead of bringing them to the swap. I know it will be easier on you.

Also I saw someone was looking for a Motted Cochin roo. I have 5 of them so please let me know if you want one! I also have Sebastopol goslings, OEGB chicks, Cochin chicks, Standard Gold Laced Cochin pullets, Call ducklings approximately 6 weeks old, and I can't think of what else right now, my head is spinning.

Thanks Candace.

Well obviously I didn't make it. After taking Rocky to the vet and having xrays done, his lungs were full of cancer. He was up all night long crying in pain and he couldn't walk at all. He was a 90 lb German Shepherd mix. The vet said we could prolong his life for another month with meds but he just wouldn't have any quality of life so we decided to let him go.

I've never had to make that decision before and although I knew it was for the best, it was so hard. Our grandson is devastated. Rocky was his buddy. Our lives and our house will never be the same.

I hope everyone had a great time at the swap.

Now I have my own health scare to deal with...

Just back from the swap and got everyone settled in!

Great time, great weather.

I came home with a gorgeous little MilleFleur Duccle from JBowen and 2 awesome black bantam cochins from Upintheholler.

Thanks everyone for a great day!!

Edited to add: Am picking up Bobwhites from Pamperedpoultry and call ducks from TenesseeTruly later this week!
