Soy Based Chick and Layer Feed

Is soy worse than all the hormone and antibiotics that slaughter house remnants have to contain? This is the reason I use soy based feed. I do have a concern about the eggs I eat or give away to friends an family. I supplement my feed with meat based treats that dont come from slaughter houses like fish(from my pond) and wild game.

You can also see if there is a Blue Seal dealer near you.

They are organic and soy-free.

When we moved, we were so saddened to discover that there are no organic feed suppliers near us that will not try to rip you of.
We've always paid $15-$17 for 50lb organic and here where we're living now, they try to charge $30+ for a 50lb bag.

I feed Countryside Organics, but have fed both Blue Seal and Nature's Best, and both of those contained soy. There may be a soy-free Blue Seal, but I haven't seen it at the feed store.

I personally don't have a huge problem with soy, as long as it's not GMO, which is pretty much impossible to find if it's not organic. But there's so much corn and soy in the average American diet, we really don't need it in our eggs as well. And the Countryside Organics is fresher and more alive than the other organic brands I've tried. Hopefully you can find a source closer to home.

Didn't ever hear that Blue Seal was soy free. Are you sure on this one?

The product description on their web sites lists soybean meal as an ingredient.
