Soybeans okay?

I love edemame, but I can't stand the pods. I can't always get shelled edemame so I was wondering if anyone knew if the peas can eat the pods if I slice them up. I thought so long as they are well fed they wouldn't eat anything that might be harmful to them, but I'm not willing to bet their lives on it. I don't give them anything I haven't seen an okay for. Thanks for anyone's input.

i feed mine just about anything -- the only reason i'd hesitate on the edemame would be the brine -- not sure if the high salt could cause issues

Thanks, I think I'll pass on the edemame. They get plenty of other treats! I hadn't thought of brine and I don't like eating much salt myself, so why give it to my boys!
