Space above roosts and between roosts?

I have a small coop that I need to put some roosts in. How far from the ceiling should they be? If I put in 2 roosts, how far apart should they be? Thanks for any advice!!

It depends on the size of the birds. For plain old hatchery large fowl like Barred Rock, I like a foot away from the wall, about 18" between roosts, and about 3' clearance above them. You may need more depending on the individuals. Also, a rooster stands taller, sometimes quite tall.

They need to be about 12" from the wall, 18-24" apart and 2" from the ceiling for standard hens.

They are a bit bigger now but they still manage to get up there once in a a while.

Thanks, you all have been very helpful. I am working with a "previously owned" model and can't make it the way I want but will do the best I can! At least until I am able to upgrade...
