Ok. I have a 3'x4' (2' deep) brooder that I have built a roof for and weatherized so that I can move my 14 five week olds and 4 nine week olds outside while I build their new coop. I call it the temp-mini-coop. That makes 18 birds total - not full size yet obviously. I am going to be getting rid of 4-6 of them in about 3 weeks leaving around 12 birds. Will they be 'OK' for a month or so while I build their new coop in this temp-mini-coop? I know it will be a bit cramped, but they will have complete access 24/7 to an 18'x18' run area. Food and water will be outside due to minimal space. There will also be a covered area in the run for them - mostly a sleeping quarters - thoughts? I don't have much choice really...
