I was wondering, I have 5 geese (2 ganders and 3 females) and I would like to know how much space of shelter I should give them. I plan on breeding them, so I want to make sure there is extra room to.

With 5 geese that you plan to breed you may find that you actually need two areas. One gander will probably try to take all three females and fight with the other male. So, you may want to put a male and female apart in their own pen/shelter. As for how much, it depend on the size of the goose. They will need to be able to stretch upright and spread their wings. So, probably at least a 4x4 area per goose. Grazing and foraging needs...for 5 geese an acre should be fine. I have 11 toulouse on 3 acres and they do fine. The spend the day together will minimal fighting but have their own space at night. In my case there is one pair in a goose house, one male and 5 females in another goose house and three bachelors in a barn on their own.
