How much space does a full grown standard size chicken need inside the coop house...I have heard 1/2 square foot,1 square foot and 2 square foot in the coop house per bird.

most would agree on about 4 sq, feet per bird inside. the 1/2 and 1 ft things are when their young and in a brooder.
