Spalding...boy or girl?

Hatched in 2023 (no idea when) and advertised as a male. I find it hard to tell males from females as juveniles...

The pictures are crummy, but he(?) does have yellow cheeks.

Yellow cheeks on a Spalding mean very little. She looks like a hen to me at this point, watch for rust colored feathers on the front of the neck. A cock will not have the rust on the neck.

Once they reach their second birthday on the second January after hatch it is very difficult to tell a hens age. We use wing tags with the hatch year and serial number for good record-keeping.
