I once worked 8 hours moving tree branches and got $5

Ya me and some friends once worked one day for this old farmer dude we lived by. He raised a lot cows and made good money so we thought we'd get rich. Cleared fence lines and repaired fence all day. He gave us $5 each.
His wife ended up paying us more behind his back later.
