Yeah, when we bought our goldlaced we couldnt be sure whether they were girls until they layed an egg lol. I love the orps for all of the things you didnt lol

I had brahmas before Orpingtons. They had the same faults for me as Orpingtons.
But anyways I bought 2 GL brahma chicks and waited forever. They turned out to be a pair. I was so happy but about the time the hen laid her second egg the dang rooster killed her.
That got me out of Brahmas immediately.
