we'll have to agree to disagreeI'm not a person of faith, but the way I interpret it from that standpoint is this;
The tower of Babble was (according to what you said, I don't remember much myself) built out of greed to reach the heavens under the motivation of being at the same level of their god. The moon landing, however, was (allegedly) achieved under the motivation of learning about that god's creation, becoming closer with it. In other words, the motives were drastically different and therefore it makes sense that one would be allowed even if another wasn't. Instead of greed, it was human curiosity, a trait that is worth encouraging.
