Spay and Neuter your pets!!! **VIDEO**

I cross my fingers and wait for the day that it is outlawed for pet shops to sell pets...and also for the day that craigslist and kijiji are not allowed to post ads for sale or for free animals...

on that note tho...i have been looking for months for a small dog...i have tried the shelters i am on a call list for the shelters if they get any in....but the sad part is i have tried to go to shelters in the big city around me (toronto) i was told that i was not allowed to adopt an animal cause i already have 2 dogs and cause I have a small child in the house (she is 6) ...my point was well if i already have 2 dogs one very large and one very small and they are both fixed, up to date on their shots ect....i am well aware of the costs involved with pet related care and food...i asked if i get a letter from my vet..I was told that i do not qualify to adopt a pet she closed the adoption book...i cant even get a supervisor to return my calls...thats sad!!!!

I have contacted a breeder for the dog i have wanted for years..she was born on November 1..and YES she will be spayed!!

This is a big problem. My 2 boys (fixed..mutts yes) were lost a little while ago for over 5 days. We had a wind storm and a bear (thought they would be hibernating personally) next door and they didn't come back after taking off. They have tags (did no good since when they did get to the pound their collars were missing). I hung up close to 40 color pictured fliers all over the area. I was going to mulnomah and clackamas county animal shelter every other day......in that time I learned a lot. Poor folks are underfunded for the work they are trying to do (not to knock them...they are trying their best to make do). In the shelter there are tons of overcrowding and gorgeous animals...a lot not even mutts! And diseases happen (I have 2 sick dogs now...2 days from the pound and now I am dealing with Kennel Cough).

It was so hard not to take a few more home with me.....we decided when we move to go pick up a playmate for the boys (they are 3 now...act like puppies still). It still bothers me greatly tho.......thank you everyone who does fix your dogs. It is heartbreaking....and these are sweet (wags tail) dogs in there. Not a lot of violent/mean ones.

When we adopted the boys from a neighbor (my kids actually brought home 3...one was adopted by my BIL) 1 was 4 pounds the other 12....one wasn't getting fed. Hard in a litter of 13. Momma was a pit bull...no clue what dad was but had to have some lab in him. No shots...digestive problems...worms (the sesame seed looking ones).....etc. Worse thing is not even a couple moths later guess what....she had more again! I can't save them all but I would if I could!
