Hi Everyone,

I have a Light Sussex that I bought at a day old. Today its 5 weeks old and my Light Sussex still looks a day old.

I have read some articles that say it might be special needs or not getting enough protein. It eats a lot but hasn't seemed to get any bigger. It is an extremely happy little bird and doesn't seem tired all the time or anything like that.

Does anyone have any tips on how to raise it and how long it might live for?

That's not a chicken from what I can tell. Maybe a pigeon?
Edit: I'm wrong. I guess it's a chicken but the growth hindrance is extreme.
Edit again: maybe a bantam??? But the little guy looks a week old at best. I'm stumped.

The big one is the same size as my other chicks but the little one is the one im considered about. I got them all together.

If it's eating a good growth diet, and bouncing around, just enjoy it while it's having a good time. Making sure that the diet is good, and available to this chick, and it's not bullied, is what you can do. Maybe it's a bantam too.

I have been ensuring its not being picked on and gets to eat with the others and I haven't had to interfere yet at all. It just seems happy.

Any idea how long it will live for?
