Special needs chicken - hernia

One of my sweet girls has had a hernia for approximately 2.5 years. She manages much better than I expected her to, but I have often wondered why her feet are so much larger than the others.
I think i figured it out. She sleeps standing! Maybe at some point she will sit down on the roost, rest on her keel, but I think she stands most of the time!
I think it's just uncomfortable to put pressure on her coelem underneath, as things are not tucked up or contained where they should be.
I may try to get her a bolster pillow or something.
Wondering if anyone has experience with something similar or suggestions of things we can try?

Pictures of her hernia and feet/legs would be very helpful. Have you checked her breastbone for any redness or scabs?

Her breastbone has no rubs or rawness. And she does lay down, I just think when she totally relaxes she wakes up due to discomfort. It's a rather large hernia, most of her underneath. I can try to photograph, but it is much easier to feel than to see.

Hernias in the abdominal wall are dangerous if the skin is injured or pecked. I have seen a couple of cases of hernias here in threads where the intestines and abdominal contents came out through an opening.

nothing is out. She did have a boo boo when it first happened years ago, other hens pecked at it, but it healed & she has been pretty good since then. Other than it's obv that her stuff is all not in the space it should be when I fell underneath her. Should I explore maybe surgery?

yes, hers did start like that & they pecked it and she had a small boo boo. But, once that boo boo healed (she saw the vet, then I kept her inside to heal) and she has been fine since then. It's feathered over & she just has a misshapen lower area now. And, she receives an implant to no longer lay. She used to lay LARGE eggs, twice the size of the others, which I think was the cause of the original hernia/injury.
