Special needs pets

I am not saying it has a disease but there are many diseases that effect movement and as a rule when in doubt cull especially if you have other healthy birds because you are putting them at risk if it is sick. Quarantine is good but in order for quarantine to be effective you must obey all the guidelines and ther are many and they are cumbersome. Most of the time crippled birds do not grow well and are usually at greater risk of disease because they are in a weaker condition and disease will strike a weak birds over a healthy bird and then possibly infect the whole flock. There is merit in culling in animal husbandry. Sometimes being compassionate to the underdog is not always best management practices.

Ya I agree. I'm just watching her to see how she does. She walks on her elbows so she's got deformed legs. I'm. Not sure if she was born that or they broke or it's a slipped tendon. She's adapting to walking on her elbows n she is sectioned off from the others so I really hope it's not a disease. Gulp
