I'll probably end up getting more eggs with the way shipping eggs hatch.

She has great birds. Her website is SimplySplendidSilkies.com (I think I am right) and she uses that name here on BYC too. Tell her I sent you if you contact her.

Hi! I LOVE silkies after getting a little black one and got four eggs. Only 2 were fertile so I hope they hatch this weekend! I would love to follow this, and her birds are beautiful! I'll be getting some next I think

Can't wait to see yours! also, I went looking for the site that you posted and finally found it on her fb page. it's www.simplysplendidsilkies.weebly.com . The missing "weebly" made it not work. Anyway, yay silkies! Can't wait!

I will snap a few pics of Cher so you can see her. Twist my arm and make me take pictures of my feathered loves.

Okay, spoke to the shipper today and I have the tracking number. Of course I had to track it immediately...no patience I know. They are scheduled to arrive tomorrow!!!!

The bator is clean, oxined (thank you Sunshine Silkies- LOVE my Oxine), running, temperature stable, new sponge for humidity in and turner ready to go.

I have the camera in my purse and we will start with pictures from the post office when I pick them up and ya'll please follow along with me as I photograph to the hatch.

Join on in and add your hatching journey. I should be placing in the incubator on Thursday night if I have no patience (highly likely) or Friday morning (probably better for the eggs). Someone help me stay in control here.

The post office called this morning to let me know my box is there and in the boss' office.

They are such sweet people. I called yesterday to give them a heads up and I don't usually talk to Casey but he knew my name and address off the bat. I just said I was expecting eggs and he asked if I was Lori.

Small towns have their moments. It is nice to be on a first name basis with practically everyone working at TSC, the local feed store, Co-op, even Wal-Mart (some days) and the pharmacy (they even remember my med allergies).

Well I am working just a half day today so I should have them in my greedy little chicken obessed hands by lunch. YYYYYYYYYIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I picked up my eggs Thursday at the local post office.

This is my favorite postal person ever...she is the one I let know when eggs are coming

I ordered 12 and received 22.

Breakdown of colors:
2 white
9 BBS
3 calico
4 buff/porcelein
3 partridge
1 black/paint

Now is the time to let everyone know my feelings about seller's obligations:

The seller is ONLY responsible for sending fertile, well packaged, perferably clean eggs.

The hatch is now all about me. All progress or failure is mine from this point on.

So, now on to the candling before incubating.
