Speckled eggs?

Ok I have two questions. First are speckled eggs normal? If so do the chickens always lay speckled or is it occasional? Next question. I'm surprised at how close my Olive egger and Easter egger egg colors are? I can definetly tell a difference but I was just surprised. Anyone else experience this?

As far as the speckled eggs go, I have found that my brown egg layers occasionally will have specks just like yours. I would say its somewhat normal, although I'm not really the expert on this. I have had Welsummer, RIR and Barred Rocks who all lay brown eggs, with some of their eggs being speckled. Regardless of speckled eggs being normal, they are fun to get. Beautiful eggs!

I have 4 EEs. From them I get a mint green, a light blue, a speckled light olive green, and an olive green. The one that lays speckled always lays speckled. The main difference I've noticed is that the egg colors stay the same but the time of year/temperature changes the bloom on the eggs to make them all look a shade or two darker in the fall. If that's the case with your birds, your eggs may look lighter in the spring.

Wow blue would be cool! I had three Easter eggers at first but I sold two before they started laying. Now I wish I would have kept them.

I have 4 eggers and they will lay different shades and can vary from day to day. Some days I struggle to tell if they're blue or green, other days it's very obvious.
I have a couple who lay speckled eggs and it comes and goes too. Sometimes it's very light speckling and other days it's heavy. I'm not sure what causes the shading to change or speckles to appear maybe length of time the bloom is applied.

What breed are your brown egg layers? Some breeds lay speckled eggs, like the Welsummer I have. Here's a photo of that one girl's eggs (all from that one chicken laid over a period of several days):
