Speckled Sussex 4-5 Weeks.. Pullet?

Uh oh! I don't mind that she was sold as a sussex even if she isn't one, I love her no matter what she is! Do you guys think she's for sure a welsummer instead, or some other breed might be possible? I took a look at the breeds list the store I got her from and no other possibilities stood out besides welsummer/speckled sussex.

Welsummer is pretty likely. Brown Leghorn is another possibility. As it matures, body type and earlobe color will give it away

I would go with welsummer, brown leghorn chicks don't usually have the white flecks on the tips of their feathers. But they do look pretty close when they are older (the hens anyway)

This is my speckled Sussex at ~4wks old. Her feet are soooo light (and still are at 2 months) almost a whitish/pinkish. So I’m guessing you do not have a Sussex. I’m new though, so what do I know! Lol!

You're right, they do have whitish pink legs.
She is beautiful!!

A different discovery than I'd expect, a fun mystery! Thank you all for identifying that as well as helping further cement the chances of her for sure being a little lady!
