Speckled Sussex at 7 weeks

Cute..I have some too. I ordered 10 and got 4 Pullets but one died..Have 2 Cockerels but one needs to go soon. I absolutely love Speckled Sussex...

I would love to see photos. Which hatchery did you order from? These girls came from My Pet Chicken.

Which one looks like a cockerel? The first photo has two Speckled Sussex.

My Birds definitely can see Cockerel and pullets now. Mine are older. Hatched end of April.

What makes you think it's a cockerel?
I've got two SS pullets (hopefully!) that are 5 weeks old this week!

Because of all the white and the size of its legs and feet. Cockerel look bigger..
Hopefully I'm wrong...

I have two speckled sussex hens in my flock and really enjoy them. They are so pretty. Here's a pic of Francis (front) and Bernadette (in back--I thought she might be a roo for a while because her comb was so much bigger than her sister's) as youngsters, and one of B full grown. Bernadette is my tamest chicken and super sweet. She still has a big comb, and got more white on her head and body after her first molt. Francis has stayed much more brown so far. Very nice breed indeed!
