Speckled Sussex Beak

so a firework went off and went to go check on the chickens and my sussex has alittle blood on her beak. notice there was a crack. not sure how to go about this or what to do. any advice?

Is it cracked or just scraped a little on wire?

Something like that I usually leave alone, she may be a little sore for a day or two, but should be fine.

If you've got a nail file and she'll let you, then give her a quick buff to make sure any sharp edges are reduced so they can't catch on other things and make the injury worse.

If the crack is of any substantial depth, spray with Vetricyn to keep it clean.

If she's hesitant to drink water, try giving her warm water instead. Sometimes with beak injuries, cold things cause pain for a day or two.

From the picture it doesn't look too bad at all!

Could be worse. This one healed within a couple weeks and was almost detached.
