No obvious males but too young to positively declare them pullets.

There is no magic to this. What people look for are signs of males developing their combs/wattles. Females normally have very little development until they're nearing laying age.

If you bought straight run, you'll likely see some change in the few weeks. If you bought pullets, don't worry about it, they usually get it right.
