Speckled Sussex - four months old - gender help?

Is it only the roos that get the shimmery green in their feathers for the SS'? Because then I'm doubly sure (and saddened) that I've got four boys...

Both genders have iridescence in their black. The males have more but my girl shines like a beetle.

Hmn...good.

I'd definitely go by crowing and/or egg-laying to determine who goes to freezer camp. All mine ended up being girls but the variation in combs/wattles and feathering is significant. After we ate the rooster, the wattles and comb on one of the hens seemed to get bigger and redder - but she definitely lays eggs and goes broody.
