In the Brooder
Hello! I posted these two before but they were a little young still. Here they are at 6 weeks. I’m thinking the first one is a pullet and the second is a cockerel, but just looking for second options. Thanks!

The second one has me confused for sure! I feel like they look so different. LOLFirst is pullet, not sure bout second. It doesn’t look like it has a tail! I thought that gene is only in auracaunas and Easter eggers!
Thank you for the help! They are from Rural King, so yes supposed to be pullets, but I have Rhode Island Reds that are clearly one of each. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and see what he or she does. I suppose one day I’ll hear a rooster crow or see an egg, then I’ll know for sure. LOLHonestly if they are hatchery stock you're going to have to be patient. I got 2 sexed pullets from the feed store when I got into chickens. One had coloring like your 1st pick- the other was splotchy and slower feathered like the 2nd. Both laid eggs eventually. post updates in 2 weeks? Could be a slow maturing cockerel. Or not.
Awe he’s adorable!I have to agree about the second one being confusing. I have a 5.5 week old SS and his comb and waddles are growing very quickly. He also has a tail and has feathered out at the same pace as my pullets.

I hope so! We can’t have roosters where we live and since one of our Rhode Island Reds are clearly a cockerel, I was hoping these are both pullets!x2 Red ranger
