Speckled sussex hen, rooster, or something else entirety!

Tractor Supply mixes chicks up all the time, and they'll move leftovers into brooders of new varieties they stock.

Black sex links are a cross between barred rock and RIRs, not partridge rocks. I'm not 100% certain yours is a partridge rock, but the resemblance is strong. I'll post an online pic of one for comparison.

Oh wow they are very close

The lighter colored one is definitely a Speckled Sussex. On the fence on gender, my Sussex got large combs early and turned decently pink as well, but are both laying hens now. The comb is big but not so big that I would say 100% male.
This gives me a little hope on my SS that is 8 weeks today. Has had a comb for quite a while - much sooner than any of my other breeds. She also grew the fastest. Went from my smallest chick to my biggest in a week. And has kept the title of heavy-weight so far.

No other SS to compare to. Comb is not pink or red. Has absolute stompers for legs. And today I noticed spur buttons on her.

He/She is also not friendly at all - which has been the opposite of my experience with past roosters.
