My little flock began with a plan of three hens ONLY to settle in to providing best care them maybe grow the flock. On the drive to pick up my three from the hatchery, I found three more in a Rural King store who desperately needed a home. Then two more were added within three weeks while my niece was out shopping for hers. So the plan for three ended up in a flock of seven. Two RIRs-hen & roo, salmon flavorelle hen, Silkie hen, two BR hens, and SLW. Surprisingly, I found one of my RIRs was a roo which turned out to be a blessing and my cuckoo Maran turned out to be a BR. Fun times
