Speckled Sussex - NO??

Here's what my Speckled Sussex looks like at 7 to 8 weeks:

Did yours look like this?

These are 11 week old Welsummer and Speckled Sussex pullets together:

and this is that same Welsummer all grown up:

Both breeds are nice to have - the Welsummer lays very pretty eggs. At least the mistake was the breed and not the sex

Absolutely a Welsummer. Don't be surprised if she grows spurs or any chicks from her may have 5 toes, all totally NORMAL for the breed and not indicative of any bad breeding behind her. I have a welsummer bantam who is well feisty but she has five toes and spurs, and when I looked up info relating back to the origin of the breed, they ALL had five toes and some had spurs too. So worry not! She's lovely and next year will really shine with rich colour.
