Speckled Sussex not laying

I have 5 chicken, they are 35 weeks old. The first BR started laying 3.5 weeks ago with the others following the next 2 weeks. The only one who has not layed an egg, is not swatting or has any interest in the nest box is my speckled Sussex- she looks healthy, acts healthy eats normal, just no eggs. Is that normal - and I just have to be patient or should I worry?

In my experiences speckled Sussex are very poor layers. Even once they start they lay sporadically with lots of breaks.

My experience with Speckled Sussex is that they are a bit late to start laying and a bit late to begin laying again after winter break.

But my Speckled Sussex have been good, regular layers, albeit of small eggs. They also have very assertive personalities, a lot of strutting around to let the others know they are not to be questioned.

I have one SS hen that is aged seven, and she crows exactly like a rooster to announce her dominance. (In spite of two roosters in the flock.)

Yes, there are hens who don't lay. But this time of year, there's barely enough day length to trigger hormones, so be patient.

I have an Easter Egger who's nearing a year old, and matured late. She's (occasionally) showing small signs of being at least CLOSE to mature enough to lay an egg, but still none from...and I seriously wonder if I'll never get any from her, since she might want to lay because she might be in pain from a broken leg she got as a chick.
Your bird sounds and looks healthy...I think yours will lay soon, or at least when daylight lengthens.
