Speckled sussex pullet/cockerel

Can anyone tell me the difference between 8wk Speckle Sussex pullets vs cockerels?

They look like pullets to me, any update on the op's SS? I'm pretty sure that is a pullet as well

Yes they look like pullets. Mine are 16 weeks now and no crowing....

I have a speckled Sussex that is about 10 weeks old I'm trying to determine if pullet or cockerel. He/she has this stance bc I made a weird noise to get her to look at me. It has been a surrogate "momma" figure to my 3 BLRW chicks. Thank you!

I have a seven week old Speckled Sussex, who is probably a cockerel, who has much larger comb and wattles than yours. Although I am pretty sure mine is a boy, I will keep hoping until the little one crows. It doesn't look like yours has any skinny feathers yet, so that is a good sign if you want a girl. I would remain hopeful if I were you. I have seen posts where 100% said birds were a boy and with later update, all were wrong. "You never know until it crows."
