Speckled Sussex question

Can you predict the speckling in the adult plumage from the looks of the immature feather patterns?

I don't know the answer to this but I'll be interested to hear it too. I've got all these young roos & I was hoping to keep 1 but how to choose.....

We have two young hens, one with heavy speckling and one with light--I'll let you know how they feather out.

We're new to the Sussex so it's an adventure.
