They look just like mine.....nondescript and light brown...

Any kind of speckling? Looks kinda like a Plymouth Rocks.

Yes, the Speckled Sussex's are nondescript....my Barred Plymouth Rock lays bigger, slightly darker eggs with speckling. Here is one of those w a leghorn egg and a bantam egg...
