Speckled Sussex ?

Farm store hatchery chick. Labeled as SS. 10 wks old. Yellow non feathered legs. 4 toes. Single comb. I guess i was expecting, well, more speckles. Is it just too early? Or is this not even a SS? Could it be a Barnevelder? I wouldn’t expect that at farm store but

Looks like a gold Barnevelder. Definitely not a speckled Sussex.

i have no idea what you got, not a SS. It kinda resemble a gold laced wyandotte without the rose comb.

Doesn’t look like a speckled Sussex to me, looks more like a Barnevelder.
