Ok, y'all. I was given this speckled sussex and told she was a hen. She is about 5ish months old. I got her in rough shape and skinny. She is starting to fill out, but now I'm worried it's a roo. No crowing yet. Any insight would be helpful.

Sorry :/ Best of luck finding him a new home if you can't keep him. A lot of people say their Speckled Sussex roosters are gentle giants and mild-mannered, and they're certainly fun pattern and color-wise, so he may be more easy to find a home for than some other breeds.
I know, I was so excited to have a speckled sussex hen....but alas, a roo! Lol I have an olive egger that I am sure is a roo too, so the two of them will end up with new homes. They will stay with me till they crow...just in case😉 Thank y'all for your insight! I struggle identifying roosters when they are young and have not crowed yet.
