SpeckledHen - Broken Ankle - DO NOT PM HER!!!

Had to take a minute out of work today to check on you. So glad to hear that your surgery went well. Can't wait to see you back at BYC.

My wife had a very bad break 8 years ago. Going through that with her, I can sympathize with what you are dealing with. In a couple of days, the pain will get better.

Some advice - Do what the doctor says. If they say, no wait, then don't do wait. My wife did not listen the first time and ended up needing additional surgery.

Continued prayers for a quick and eventless recovery.

I just got off the phone with the lady herself. She will no longer be able to get through a metal detector, LOL. They put a plate with something like 5 screws in one bone, and a few more screws in another bone. She will have a check up with the ortho doc in about a week to check on healing progress.

The worst news? She's not allowd to be anywhere near a chicken for fear of infection. She's very down about that. She can, however, talk to them with her monitors...can you imagine their confusion?!

My dear friend Cynthia - I'm so sorry to just now find this thread and hear about your ankle and surgery. I pray for a quick healing and pain relief.

I actually did a search for you because I thought I hadn't seen a post by you in a week and got worried. Then I found this thread. I haven't been on much myself since my goat gave birth last Monday and I've been busy with babies but I knew I missed your posts and knew something must be wrong. I was hoping you were just on vacation or something.

Take care of yourself - let others help you - take it easy. Catch up on reading or paperwork. Watch some old movies.
