Speckledhen I have a ? about your PVC feeder

We copied your version of the feeder, via looking at your picture, but it doesn't seem to replinish itself when they have eaten all the food in the bottom part of it. How does the food just move on down? I put a cap on the top so that rain wouldn't get in, then we cut slits in it for air flo but it still doesn't seem to go on out, is your slanted and I can't tell from picture? Please advise. Thank you!
 
It needs to be slanted a bit to empty the feed from the vertical chamber. I haven't actually slanted mine yet-one of those things you just put off. I just use a stick or piece of pipe to poke at the feed right where the turn is and it comes right down.
 
Well that's what I have been doing too. I made it because we are going camping next weekend and I don't have anyone to come over to feed them. I was hoping it would just drop out itself. I'll slant it a little more and see what happens. Thanks!
