spelling breeds

Hi,
I have a few questions on how to spell breed names. First, is it marans or maran? I've seen it spelled both ways. Second, is it ameracauna, ameraucana, americana, or americauna?

Marans with the S. It is not plural. Named after the town of Marans, France.
Ameraucana is the proper spelling of the actual Ameraucana breed.

You are welcome, though I have noticed that in Great Britain, Marans is often spelled just Maran.
