Spherical egg

This morning I found this in the coop! A near perfect sphere, I posted it to reddit and a few people said it could be a sign the bird is unwell, I haven't been able to find a source for that anywhere, just that it is extremely rare. Anyone know if the hen is ok? She is visibly fine

What shape egg does this bird usually lay?
I have a few that lay pretty round eggs, can be hard to tell where the air cell is.
Could just be a glitch...I wouldn't worry about it unless bird appears ill.
 
I wonder if they lay them to look like the golf balls people put in the nest boxes.
Image they say to themselves, "I might have a go and laying one of those myself."
