Haha...just a funny story from a bit ago. I let the peeps (12 weeks now) out into the yard while I checked on the coop and fed them some snackies. My Delaware pullet,"Oreo" (who seems to have jockeyed herself into alpha chick since I rehomed our wee rooster a couple weeks ago), was pecking around the outside of the coop and apparently got some sticky, stringy spider web on her beak (prob after eating the web's maker). As she wandered around, the web picked up some hay tidbits and a little feather along the way. I watched Oreo stop, shake her beak, tap it on the ground, and then scratch at the web and its attachments with her foot. When none of that dislodged the web and she got sticky stuff on her foot, she quite literally jumped in the air with a loud squeak
(eek! spider web!) and ran back into the coop to furiously rub her beak into the sand flooring. That finally got it all off. I don't mean to laugh at my Delware's expense...but it was funny!
