Great minds unit! I’m looking for all ideas for a spill proof waterer for ducklings to ducks. I’m sure there’s several threads on this but I’m looking for new and innovative ideas to stop (well likely reduce) the water mess of our ducks. Don’t hold back!!!

I'm interested in how this thread plays out. Here in Michigan we finally reached a high of 37 after this 2 week cold snap. I come home and fill the pool for my ducks....they get in and just stand there! Couple hours later when I was locking them up for the night, NOW they want to take a bath in their heated water bowls and get water all over the new straw I just put down...:he

I found some ideas online but haven’t put them to the test. Take a look...

Chicken fonts are not good for Ducklings they need to Dunk their heads past the eyes multiple times a day..
Margarine containers with lids and holes cut in the top enough room for bills and heads..Move up to pails as they mature..
Thank you Chickens really! That’s a great idea! By any chance do you have some pics to share?

So I kept it simple and cut a duckling sized hole in a small plastic milk carton. To tell you the truth it’s working great! Go figure lol.

This picture was taken at the end of day and haft their wood shaving are still dry! Sure beats changing it out 2-3 times a day.
