Hey guys!

I know that moldy feed can be a big problem for the chickies. My girls are 6 weeks old and have been moved out to the tractor for a week. They have a feeder in their run and spilled a bunch of their crumbles the other day. I didn't think anything if it until last night it rained, and the ground and food spilled on it got pretty wet. When I let them out this morning, they went straight for it. Should I try and clean the spilled crumbles off the ground? I don't know if it gets yucky and moldy if they will eat it anyway.....

If it rained last night, then yes I'd let them eat it the very next morning while it's still pretty fresh....that's what I would do.

After that though, I'd move their pen or clean it up so they couldn't get it. It does mold fast.

Consider putting their feeder under cover, so any spilled feed will also stay dry. Less waste if it doesn't get wet.
